It seems like yesterday I received the call letting us know that you were here.  I will always remember that day.  Ther nervousness.  The anticipation.

Now, I've watched you grow into this amazingly beautiful and kind hearted big girl who can do anything she sets her mind to.

You are so inquisitive, so yearning for love.  I'm so thankful we were chosen to be your parents.  I can't imagine life without you, kiddo.

Keep being the amazing and awesome blessing you are.  We love you and always will!

Tuesday Truth: Angry and Hurt Moms Cause Angry And Hurt Kids

A few days ago I had a terrible mommy moment.  I was tired, exhausted, and frustrated.  I was attempting to get out the house on time for a certain event and the children were not cooperating.  One had "forgotten" how to put on her shoes.  Another refused to leave without her lovie.  The littlest screamed from being placed in a carseat when he clearly wanted to lie on the floor for a while.  We were late.  I was so overwhelmed.  When little voices gave way to whining, I lost it and launched into a raised voice tirade (no curse words) that ended in a very hurtful dismissal.  The effect was instantaneous.  There was no more whining.  There was no sound at all.  Just a quivering lip, watery eyes, and a slow walk to the car.  I felt like crap.

Weekend Recap: 38 Can't Wait

Hi everyone!  This weekend was pretty great, if I do say so myself.  It was a weekend full of celebration and I definitely can't wait to share.

Happy February One! A repost

Hello everyone!  It's February!  This year is just trucking along, isn't it?  I'm looking forward to this month and all the craziness that comes with it.  If you've been following us for a while, you know that it's my father-in-love, my husband, my brother-in-love, and my daughter's birthdays--all within days of each other.  Not to mention Valentine's Day is in there too.
