It seems like yesterday I received the call letting us know that you were here.  I will always remember that day.  Ther nervousness.  The anticipation.

Now, I've watched you grow into this amazingly beautiful and kind hearted big girl who can do anything she sets her mind to.

You are so inquisitive, so yearning for love.  I'm so thankful we were chosen to be your parents.  I can't imagine life without you, kiddo.

Keep being the amazing and awesome blessing you are.  We love you and always will!

Weekend Recap: 38 Can't Wait

Hi everyone!  This weekend was pretty great, if I do say so myself.  It was a weekend full of celebration and I definitely can't wait to share.

Children Have Love Languages, Too

I've read Dr. Gary Chapman's book, The Five Love Languages, several times in my adult life.  I have taken the quiz more times than I can count to make sure things haven't shifted or that I still convey and receive love in the same manner.  I even recognize when I get frustrated that it is partly due to my love language not being spoken.  When you apply the techniques and observe the information submitted, it really does make sense.  Which is why I can't believe it took me so long to actively pay attention to the fact that my children have their own love languages too. (Especially since there is a book by the same author discussing this at length).

Oh, in case you aren't familiar with Love Languages, there are five ways that people show, communicate, give, and receive love.  They are Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, and Acts of Service.

It’s Monday! Happy Monday everyone. I hope your weekend was really fun and really wonderful. This weekend was filled with love and celebrations and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Happy February One! A repost

Hello everyone!  It's February!  This year is just trucking along, isn't it?  I'm looking forward to this month and all the craziness that comes with it.  If you've been following us for a while, you know that it's my father-in-love, my husband, my brother-in-love, and my daughter's birthdays--all within days of each other.  Not to mention Valentine's Day is in there too.

Friday Favorites: January Recap

Hello everyone!  Here we are at the last Friday of the month.  I decided to link up with Grace and Love, Momfessionals and a Little Bit of Everything gain to share my January recap with our visitors.

High School Orientation...already!!!

Last night, I walked with my husband and children into the doors of a high school that I'd been to plenty of times before--for concerts, for games.  This time, however, was VERY different.  This time, we were there for Bug's High School Orientation.

Weekend Recap: Family Chill

Hi everyone! I hope you've had a fun and productive weekend.  Ours was ridiculously chill.  Not that I have any complaints with that at all.  I'm all for quiet weekends and this one was just that.

Friday Faves!

Hi everyone! I hope you've had an awesome week.  Mine has been ridiculously productive in the office and very chaotic at home.  We call it "Frazzled" for a reason.  Today, I'm linking with Andrea from Momfessionals for my Friday Favorites.

Weekend Recap: First 5 of 2020!

Hello and Happy New Year! The break from posting was nice, but I have to admit that I really missed everyone. This past weekend was really an enjoyable one. I even broke my introvert mold and got out of the house (gasp!) Here’s what’s going on with us...
