2019 In Review

Oh my goodness! Today is the LAST day of 2019! What an amazing year it has been. God really has blessed us immensely this year. Good health. New additions. Family love. I am so thankful for all He has done and all that He is! As the clock strikes midnight tonight, I plan to thank Him over and over again for all that He is and for keeping our family.

It’s time for our yearly review and I am really looking forward to sharing it with you. I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite memories with links to those posts. I’ll also be sharing my top 17 most viewed posts of 2019.

Finally, I’ll share my round up for my favorite movies, books, and Bible plans of the year. Thank you for making this year so amazing. May you and your family be richly blessed in the 2020 year.

Friday Favorites: My Favorite Things 2019

Oh my goodness!  Can you believe it? The year is almost done!  That happened way too quickly!  But I'm not complaining.  It's been a great year and I am looking forward to 2020.  I'll talk about that later.  Right now, I want to share some of my favorite things from 2019.  I have a TON of new favorite things, but I'll limit them to just a few joy-filled categories!

Weekend Recap: Memories Top 5

Hello! What a fun and awesome weekend spent with people whom I absolutely love. It’s funny how unexpected changes can still be great opportunities for fun. Bug, J., and I were supposed to visit my alma mater to attend the #AggieEagle classic in Greensboro, NC. The rivalry between North Carolina Central University and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is legendary. I was looking forward to taking Bug and having a Mommy-Son weekend with him. Unfortunately a few days before the game, the weather was forecast to be all day rain. This would not be a good thing with a 3 month old baby in tow. So, I made the decision to cancel our plans for the game. It worked out though! We were still able to have an awesome time with family.

We Honor You

So absolutely pleased to honor those who put on the uniforms that allowed my family and friends to enjoy the freedoms we do today.  Thank you for your service to all Veterans, especially those in our circle.  We appreciate you and honor you.  You deserve it.

Gratitude

Hello!  November has finally arrived.  We are finally in a month of pure gratitude.  I'm so thankful for this month and all that we get to experience in it.  The kids are completing their soccer season, which means we will have family time without having to run around to multiple locations.  I'm planning a huge Mommy/Son weekend with Bug.  It's also time to prep for new adventures.  I can't wait to share.

Games and Thrones: Weekend Recap

This weekend was such an enjoyable time.  I was able to attend both soccer games for the kids because they were both on the same side of the county!  Yay!  The kids got to see a great show. My mother came down for a brief visit and S. and I were able to attend a costume party.  Let's get you to the update.

Birthday Recap: Life is Fine at 39

Hi Guys!  I recently celebrated my 39th birthday and I enjoyed myself so much.  I know that ideally I'm supposed to post tons of photos, but I didn't take a single one really.  I just wanted a day to be in the moment and that's exactly what I received.  I told my husband and the children that since the heat index was to be 115 degrees that day (OH MY GOSH!), I was perfectly happy with someone picking up Bonefish Grill after church and bringing it to me to eat home.  Of course, the kids and S. wouldn't let that fly.

The heartbreak of the Manukyans and the questions raised by their IVF journey

I've been following the story of Anni and Ashot Manukyan since it hit the major news media circuits a few days ago.  Anni and her husband struggle(d) with secondary infertility and decided to use CHS Fertility to get pregnant via in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Happy 4th of July

I sincerely hope your day is blessed with friends, family, and love.  I also hope it contains prayers for those who do not know freedom and are waiting with great expectation of God to deliver just that to them.

We're shutting down for the day to spend time as a family. We will see you all again soon, God's will.

Have an amazing day!

Last Day of School!

It's finally here.  The last day of school for Honeybee and Bug.  Today, my Honeybee completed her last year of preschool.  She is officially a kindergartner and ready to take on the world.  Bug is an eighth grader.  Last year of middle school coming up!  Wow.  That was quick!

 This week's video:

On our 7th Anniversary...

It's hard to believe that we have been married for 7 years.  I thank God for you as my husband.  I thank Him for every mountain we've climbed, for every valley we've walked, for every prayer we have prayed, and for every new joy we have experienced.  I thank you for being my husband and for every step we have taken together.

Friday Frazzle: Friday Favorites

Hi everyone!  This week has been something!  Baby A. caught remnants of her father's illness.  That meant soaring fevers, visits to the doctor, multiple visits to the pharmacy after she knocked over the entire bottle of amoxicillin 😭, and finally the joy of seeing her come back to the bouncing and happy baby girl I know she is!  This week also lent itself to some pretty cool favorites.  Since it's been a while since I've done a link up, I thought it would be fun to Link up with Narci from Grace and Love , Ericka from A Little Bit of Everything, and Andrea from Momfessionals.  I hope you enjoy these items as much as I do.

WEEK 20:  20-27 March 2019/ Week 21:  27 March-3 April 2019
Hi everyone!  Apologies for missing last week.  With so many of the family sick and so much running around to be done, it was kind of crazy.  Last week, I reached the half way point in this pregnancy!  Yay!  I took advantage of it by walking with the family at the zoo and then nursing family back to health.  This week, I'm still working on getting baby A. back to 100%, but everything is pretty good to go.

Happy April!
